Editing is vital. Although basic copy editing is part of putting your book into production with Diamond River Books, few authors spend the necessary time developing their manuscripts and are surprised and disappointed when their stories are not acclaimed in the marketplace. This step, of substantive editing, is often overlooked by writers who have workshopped their manuscript with well-meaning friends, or accepted editorial suggestions from those who have studied literature but have no background in editing and publishing. Authors are often far too impatient to rush their work into print and neglect the vital step of working with an editor. Diamond River Books will evaluate your manuscript and give you honest advice before accepting your work for print or Ebook production.
